This year Elle Decor tackled the theme of the rapid and multiform evolution of workspaces, with a project proposing new scenarios intended to reflect the complexity and variety of the changes currently underway in the world of the office.
The technological revolution of the last few decades has not only introduced new work tools, collaboration interfaces and ways of sharing, but has primarily transformed repetitive and predictable work into an experiential and variable process, thus requiring the adaptation of the designated spaces.
The most significant variations on the contemporary office were represented through a series of rooms
on the piano nobile, culminating in the internal courtyard; a series of 10 spaces integrated with the garden, transformed for the occasion into an open-air room. The rooms, designed to narrate concepts and ways to experience the workplace with a forward- looking vision, were enlivened by digital presences, and interactive and olfactory experiences.
Not only a spatial revolution, but also a mental, cultural and social one.
DWA Design Studio designed the exhibition. AKQA developed the interaction design, while landscape architect Marco Bay curated the landscape design of the outdoor spaces.
