Idealaqua+
QuadroDesign’s electronic kitchen mixer combines the familiarity of a traditional tap with the functionality of a complete water appliance. It offers mechanical and electronic controls, six options for purified water and a pull-out hand shower with two separate water outlets. Filtration, heating, cooling and carbonation systems are housed beneath the worktop, leaving the technology concealed and the space around the sink clean and uncluttered.
The mixer features two separate controls, each dedicated to a different type of water. A fully mechanical control operates hot and cold mains water, maintaining the direct and intuitive function of a conventional kitchen mixer. A second, electronic control is dedicated exclusively to purified water and offers six different options: boiling water at 110°C, cold water, chilled water, room-temperature water, lightly sparkling water and highly sparkling water.
Each option is identified by a specific colour: red for boiling water, blue for cold water, light blue for chilled water, green for room-temperature water, light purple for lightly sparkling water and purple for highly sparkling water. The LED becomes an integral part of the interface, providing a simple visual code that makes each selection immediately recognisable before the water is dispensed.
An integrated system
The two functions come together in the pull-out hand shower, which integrates separate water paths within a single terminal. Mains water, controlled mechanically, is delivered through the outer ring, while purified water, in any of its selected variations, flows through the central outlet. The two types of water remain separate throughout the system and up to the point of delivery, while sharing the same pull-out hand shower. This preserves the freedom and practicality of an extractable kitchen spray while bringing all the functions of the system together in a single, coherent object.
