Centolire Multitools Book
Centolire Multitools is a photographic study exploring the role of metals in architecture. A project by Luca A. Caizzi in collaboration with QuadroDesign, Graphic Design by Nicolò Oriani, Riccardo Savioli, words by Paolo Bovio.
The city speaks, though we rarely listen. Metal, joints, gates, deterrents: fragments defining the line between belonging and exclusion. In Centolire Multitools, Luca A. Caizzi investigates Milan from here — from its hardest, most ordinary matter — reframing the Piazza Affari district through its hidden metallic elements.
The project emerges from a patient confrontation with the neighborhood: repeated visits, quiet early mornings, a gradual reclaiming of public space. Caizzi traces a geography of details that connect and reject, exposing the contradictions of Milan’s financial power core.
The book — produced by QuadroDesign — is a metallic object in itself: a limited edition of 100 copies (10×13 cm), 464 perforated and hand-sewn pages, CMYK + silver printing. A Splendorlux Metal Argento embossed cover encloses Fedrigoni Gloss and Arena Bulk Natural papers.
