In the Casa Lea project in Milan, LC Atelier shapes a measured interior defined by material stratification, bespoke elements, and a conscious dialogue with the building’s historic character. In the bathrooms, the Stereo collection integrates seamlessly into the project, reinforcing its essential and functional language.
An interior that reflects a free spirit—grounded, yet open to transformation. Casa Lea emerges from a refined dialogue between the identity of its inhabitant and the architectural character of a historic Milanese building.
The herringbone-laid terracotta flooring with perimeter detailing reconnects the home to its classical roots, while plant-toned walls are animated by the conceptual presence of Joseph Kosuth’s Light Things, introducing a subtle intellectual tension within the domestic space.
In the living area, the agave and metal-thread woven rug establishes a tactile conversation with Vico Magistretti’s iconic Maralunga sofa, balancing softness and structure. A custom travertine open-pore sideboard, designed by the atelier, reinforces the material narrative, as does the burnished brass staircase connecting the living and sleeping areas—an architectural gesture that is both functional and sculptural.
Throughout the home, bespoke elements define the project’s identity: straw-covered wardrobes, upholstered beds, and custom bathroom furniture contribute to a cohesive, understated atmosphere. Materials are selected and combined to create a tactile grammar designed for silence, rest, and calm—never decorative, always intentional.
In the bathrooms, the choice of Stereo, the stainless-steel faucet collection designed by Luca Papini for QuadroDesign, reinforces this approach. Characterized by essential geometries, a precise mechanical feel, and a clear industrial lineage, Stereo interprets the bathroom as a functional yet intimate space. The use of AISI 316L stainless steel ensures durability and material honesty, while the collection’s restrained design language integrates seamlessly into the bespoke furnishings, becoming part of the architectural composition rather than a standalone object.
